I want a portfolio now! How can I get one please?

First of all, make the most of your profile page. Fill in as much info as you can and add a few photos to your gallery. Photographers, this is to give models an idea of your ability so should be relevant topics (so no shots of cute kittens please). Models, even if you have no "professional" photos yet, a decent shot of your face and perhaps one showing your whole body (clothed is fine) is a good start and shows photographers what you look like.

After that, announce yourself in the forum! Say hi to everyone in the Welcome and Chat or go to the Looking for Work section and add details of your shoot ideas in the Models looking for TFP, MUAs looking for TFP or Photographers looking for TFP sections. Remember to put your location in the subject title to make it easier to be found.

Finally see who's available to work with by going to the Search Users page. Get in touch with people in your area by sending them a PM (private message) or an email.

How do I join your agency?

TFPModels is not an agency nor are we linked to any one agency. We are here to help people develop as photographers/models/make up artists. As a community we are here to share experiences and help people get together to get great photos and therefore develop and improve your portfolio.

All my images are too big to upload. How can I resize them?

For a standard account images should be less than 250Kb. You can use an online resource such as http://www.picresize.com to change the size of the images to around 200Kb which will ensure that you can upload to the site. As a subscriber, your quota goes up to thirty 500Kb images which, we think, allows for a pretty decent web standard image.

It's back once again and here are a few words from our Member of the Week this week:

At the moment I am working on a series of "Soft Boudoir" style pictures, in a home setting. Mostly natural light but subtle artificial lighting as and when required. If you fancy a free photo session where you get to relax and feel good about yourself, one of my home Boudoir shoots could be for you. Click here to see some of IrishRover's work.
