Hi Viper.

I am probably the most experienced photographer to ask as I shot 5 clothed mannequins yesterday

Cameras not relevant for this IMHO

Chose your focal length carefully. (don't use wide angle for example)

White background.

Plenty of even light. (on background and mannequins)

A tripod. (for super sharp images)

Correct white balancing. (very important re clothing)

I could go on forever really. I've just skimmed the top of the list there.

What is the extent of photographic knowledge?
Freddie

Heya,

I had a quick look at the site - the first thing that stands out is that some of the pictures seem dark - perhaps up the lighting in the studio space you have, or amend it when you edit the pictures.

Also make sure you are using a tripod - on some of the patterend fabrics the prints look a little fuzzy so as someone who does a LOT of online clothes buying - you cant see all the detail you might want to.

The clothes shaping looks OK - remember that sites like Joebrowns.com dont use models or mannequins - they just lay the clothes out (i suppose in the same way you'd lay them out on your bed before getting dressed)

Just keep the style and lighting consistent and as long as the client is happy then its all good
